your music type is better suited to mid bass. The way to go for you is install mid woofers in vehicle and adjust eq appropriately. dont have an eq, get one. bottom line rock music or at least almost all of it doesnt have much low bass. compared to rap that is.

could you just run the woofer with the filter off? my buddy does with his 2 kickers and they hit it all, ive never done it myself as it seems the high frequencys will kill em but his have been like this for nearly a year with no issues.
