depends on a lot of factors. What kind of music do you listen to. Sealed gives you tight bass but ported with get louder. I started with a sealed box for my r's but I'm running ported now but it gets kind of sloppy when I listen to like metal or hardcore music.

I've found out that lack of midbass has a lot to do with sloppy sounding bass. If your into bass, ported is the only way to go lol

Number two. I ran 2k DAILY one a 15 for over a year on the new Gen Type R with no issues except I had to watch how hard I pushed it THERMALLY.
