My first idea was to take one of the single din kits and cut the hole so that it will be long enough to fit a double din. The problem with that is the bottom of this kit would be realllly flimzy and probably look like shit once i cut it out.
Ive been reading up on it, and a few people have done it with the oem 6 cd changer kit. The problem with that is, I dont want the 6 cd changer, just the kit, and it would cost me an arm and a leg to get it just to throw the little bastard away. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
So my new idea is to try and use the original oem cubby hole with the flip down cover and try and fabricate my own kit inside of it. (fiberglass possibly?)
This would be my first fiberglass application, Im kind of nervous to mess it up.
Has anyone accomplished this? The cubby seems like it would be a tight fit. I think after i do this, it will look really clean, but its gonna take some work.
I would appreciate the help.
