This is my first box attempt and to be honest, want to make it kinda simple but still functional.
First off i have 2 - 12" PG Rsdc 122 (displacment is .13 for each so .26 total)
Second set of info i got from the manufacture it is recommend 2.5 cubic ft per sub for more SQ while they say ~ 1 cubic ft for SPL. I started a thread a while back trying to find out this info and just recently found a pdf version of the manual.
I used a box program and these are what i came up with so far. I want a simple slotted port box, around 4 cubft after displacemnt. Subs up, port firing to driver side. 3/4 mdf will be used
(all outer dimentions)
Height: 13in
Width: 30 in
Depth: 28 in
Port specs
(all inner dimensions)
height: 11.5
width: 4.5
length: 18.25
With that i got gross of 5.03 cubft, .74cubft port, physical port length to be 17.5 and 51.75cuin port area( 12.8 per cubic foot)
Leaving me a net of 4 cubic feet tuned to 36 hz.
Does this sound correct? Also what should my cutouts be for my top, bottom, sides, etc because the program i had didnt let me input where the port will be so it didnt factor that in on the sheets.
Thanks in advance, also if u have any suggestions on which type of glue/screws i should use id love to know.
