Thats what I mean about every other car in this town is a "fast" mustang...

I have a 71 Torino GT that I dropped a reshly rebuilt motor two summers back. Sadly its been nice for the last few weeks here and I haven't even called to put insurance back on it yet. It is extremely fun, but getting 8 mph in town and a wopping 12-13 on the hwy ***** donkey balls. Plus high performance engine equals premium gas 4.50 here right now :/.

and to the mustang fans.. I do not want a fox body.. I think they are disgusting

they're ugly as sin, but my buddy had a '90 with the 5.0 and a 5 speed and it was fun as hell to drive

Fox bodies are ugly as sin for sure but very light, get a nice 347 or 393 stroker in it and some fat tires.

Mid 90s mustangs and camaros are pretty cheap and extremely easy to find parts for. The other option is to buy an used one that was already modified which will cost even less (at least to begin with).

Just remember. A car that someone modded to have 600 hp was done for a reason. Most likely it was not babied, and while it may look very clean, many things could be close to failure mechanically. Not trying to be a downer, but just speaking from experience in buying such vehicles (albiet a lot less then 600hp).

i know man, as I expect the worst... There is 700 miles on the new motor and 400 on the new ******.. The car has made 4 runs, and otherwise has been a dialy driver..

its tough to buy a car you know has been beaten... especially one thats 10 yrs old for $13000

How about an 80's muscle car. Can be had in good shape for about 10 000 and modded easily. Just one example.
