If there is standing water you need to take out the seates and use a shop-vac to get the water out of the carpet, and you may consider gutting the interior and removing the carpet altogether so it can hang dry. While that shit is out, you can get your sound deadener on. Then once everything is dry and the leak is fixed (you are sure it was the grommit?) you put it back together and your ride will be quieter and likely will sound better. If you want to be positive you have the leak fixed, you can do what they do, turn on a hose so there is a steady stream of water, but not really any pressure (like 1/3 to 1/2 on) and set in on the roof on top of a washmitt (so you don't scratch your roof) and let it run water over the car in the area the water is coming in. Next, get a flashlight and contort yourself under the dash and follow the water. you can usually see the tracks where it has dripped/run down or you may see actual drips. You will likely have to remove interior panels and such to see exactly where, but then you know for sure it's fixed. This is what body shops and dealers do to find waterleaks. I have found a major culprit of waterleakes is when people damage or remove the clear plastic moisture barrier that is behind the door panel. Most people don't realize that water flows through the inside of the door and if that barrier is gone some will flow right past the door panel, over the door sill and onto the floorboard. Something to keepin mind. Good luck.the grommet around my hood release cable popped out of the firewall last week, and i was greeted to about 2 inches of standing water ABOVE my carpet in the drivers side rear floorpan (none of the other carpet was wet)
i had no ****ing clue what was going on, so i took it to a body shop to find the leak.
and now, what's even better, is audi decided to put a ****ing ECU that controls the entire interior of the car, as well as the central locking system, and the security system UNDER the carpet, so now my car does not lock, the lights don't turn on, and i can't roll the windows down to help dry out the gallons of water that are still IN and BELOW the carpet.
i feel your pain, for sure

you could always turn your key into accessory mode and then bump a little gucci mane to ease your gucci mane cravings.Supposedly a bad fuel pump - shops want around 400 bones...I just bought a used one off eBay for $80 (of course with a warranty) and am gonna replace it myself 'cause I plan on getting rid of this car real soon.
But that wasn't the point of this thread (before it gets moved to car perf/repair)...
...I can't bump that new Gucci Mane //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
