I Finally Heard The W7 Prof Installed

I ended up going ahead and trading my l7 and $300 for 2 w7's, they were some of the best subs i ever owned, in a 5.95 cubic box tuned to 34hz, they sounded amazing, i ended up selling them though for $800 because i need the money but I wish i could of keep them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I used to hate on JL, but they make some good subs. Period. I have owned and played with several of the older ones and, of them there is good sound quality, good output, low motor noise and durable to boot.

There are better subs and worse subs, and definitely even superior subs, no doubt. but for a general, midde of the road all around good driver... Its' not a bad choice.

I have yet to hear a driver that has more of an sq/spl combo than a w7, and I never really liked w7's at first i thougth they were overpriced and werent worth the money, but i after getting a pair to try them out, i was very happy with them and most people who tlk shit about a w7 have never heard a proper setup, and I have heard alot of setups and the only setup that was louder than my w7's was my freinds 15in L7 off 1500 watts in a 5 cube box tuned to 37 hz

I could think Tons drivers..
I believe you though, I just hate it when people bash on w7's, even though i used to bash on them until i owned one, I will admit i would never pay retail for one though, but if you get them for around $300 you cant beat that

I heard a 12w7 in a tweeter store, they had it hooked to a 1000/1, by itself. Sounded killer. Thats a $1000+ sub and amp setup though. For $1000 you can defanitely do better. I keep saying this though, its quality stuff and lasts a long time. My cheap 10w0's are 7 yrs old and still running strong. The old addage you get what you pay fpr comes to mind. I would never feel confident buying a $200 1000+ watt amp. I grew up around quality stuff, nakamichi, ads, boston acoustics. I raelly wonder when I hear $99 profile component amps and $300 3000 watt hifonics sub amps. Do these really perform and last like their expensive counterparts? Sorry for the rant.
