Hey guys. I think I finally found the perfect amp for my 2 12" Autoteks.

I have them wired at 2 ohms EACH.

So will 450 x 2 be enough to allow me to feel it in my chest? thanks fore everyones input.

Just get you Autotek Mean Machine AMX 50.2, 100.2, 200.2 or even the new Mean Machine Models i heard stomp a%$.....One ? though are they the Mean Machines or the Super Sports???

why not get a 1ohm stable amp?

This is the most Practical way I think. The Hifonics BX1000D will pull less current than that class a/b Profile amplifier. Plus the Hifonics will give you some headroom at 1000 watts at 1 ohm which is 500 watts split between your woofers.

I have the SS Autoteks. They are dual 4 ohm. so could I still get the Hifonics 1000?

Whats the rms rating on the subs? If its 4-500 watts then yes you can get the hifonics. Run each sub in parallel for 2 ohms on each sub and then run the subs in parallel to the amp to get 1000 watts and 500 watts a sub.

got another situation.

Together my subs put out a 4 ohm load.

The hifonics is 1000 rms at 2 ohms

so what is another amp that is 1000 rms x 1 at 4 ohms?

The Hifonics is 1000 watts x 1ohm, not 2 ohms. Its around 700 at 2 ohms. Also you can run both of your subs together at 1 ohm. Just parallel everything.

To get a 1 ohm final load. Take each + terminal on each subwoofer and wire them together, do this for the negative terminal as well. This will make each subwoofer a single 2 ohm voice coil. Take the + of both subs and wire them together and do this for the negatives as well. This will give you a 1 ohm final load which will give you 500 watts rms a subwoofer from the Hifonics BX1000D, and as far as I know you cant find it anywhere as cheap as ebay, thats where I purchased mine from.

This Amp is good for the price. Draws more Current then the Hifonics wich are mentioned above, but is a lot cheaper too

its because the profile-ma-whatsit is class A\B, you can clearly tell by the size of it.

the hifonix amps are mono class D amps. they are more efficient (hence the 1-ohm load) run cooler, and draw less current. this is why class d is such a sought after sub-amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cop.gif.57eb2cc10a7efd04d31083ca3c30d53c.gif

but i would rather go with the mono 1-ohm load
