i dont like my box

guys i made 2.9 cubic feet box with 4 inches diameter and 10 inches long port for my 1542D but the bass is only good for hip hop and rap music...but when i play trance and house which i usually listen i dont enjoy the beats and the fast bass....the bass sound like 'burrrr burrr'.....the fast beats gets mixed up...which box shud i get made for a better sound?
