I don't know what the problem is.

I have a kenwood 8403 amp running to my components an coaxial speakers. The issue is about after 15-20 of play the sound starts to fade and come back. It's as if the volume were going up and down over and over. Now if i turn the volume down it goes away. No i don't have it playing at full power because it's distorted at full anyway. I check the power and ground connections to see if the were properly done. It's pretty unlikey the head unit is he cause of the problem and the speakers have all been recently installed and this was a issue prior to that. None the less the amp gets Pretty hot i mean wow i could cook something on this thing. This has been a issue even when i was running it at 50%. If i take it much lower it'll be no different then having my deck just run it. My instinct is that it's a amp issue but i don't want to act on it till i atleast have someone agrees with it.

man, this is a long shot, but i want to say that an issue with the remote wire from the head unit will mess with a kenwood amp like this. IIRC, an older 4 ch KW amp that i had did this. I'm not 100% sure, but it's worth a try to pop your HU out and just run a piece of wire over the seats (or out the door and into the trunk) and see what happens.

Yeah, I know it's really odd, and i may be wrong, but seems that i've seen this issue before.
