What I find the funniest is the goverment says that this increase is normal and just following our inflation, in fact our inflation is up about 4% since last year. lets see here, last years gas average $3.00, this years is to be $4.00. Is that a 4% increase?

Gas companies get away with what ever they want, is it there fault they make they make money, I would say it is the persons policing their pricing and decisions. Right now BP and Shell could go up to $14.00 a gallon like fualkton would like it and nothing would be done. Maybe someday we will have a president that doesnt have a fleshy patch where his nuts used to be.

im glad i wasnt the only person that thought this... i would attribute most all of the crash to this, and the high gas prices to the war...

the housing economy is killing everything right now... and like the old saying goes, when it rains it pours. the housing economy is in the slumps because of the banks, the banks are in the slumps because everyone was out to make a quick buck and shot themselves in the ***... since the banks are in the slumps spending is at a low. since spending is at a low point jobs are being cut, which only leads to less spending...

If you are so worried about gas prices....trying selling your gas guzzling SUV and get a more fuel friendly vehicle. Quit wasting your money on expensive car audio gear.

And like i previously stated, if gas prices are the main source of discontent in your life, give thanks to the lord. It can be much, much worse

Economy here is all fuked up to, this town I live in keeps growing and growing. The job pay sucks everywhere around here. Up north of me in San Antonio the economy is great, they pay $9.50hr to make sandwiches at some places. Sucks

Hoss you nailed it. Our economy is crippled due to all the rediculous loans that were given out when things were rolling good. now it slowed down and all these tards that overborrowed have to pay increased rates and they just default on the loans.

hence Bear Stearns getting bought out and the feds lowering the rate in a last ditch effort to keep these huge corporations going.
