i dont know about speakers.. help!!

hello.

i am going to get rid of my sub and amp and box and going to jsut upgrade all my interior speakers and put an amp to them

i want 4 (four) speakers that can give me decent highs mids and lows.

they all 6.5" speakers in my 2005 civic.

looking at about 50 rms each or so good?

i dont know anything about this stuff, please let me know

most importantly how much are looking to spend. that will help narrow it down a bit otherwise its too broad of a question

i agree with everyone else....but my input for you is to use some jl audio 6w0 subs for some low end. they are actually 6.5" subs. altho i would put about 100 watss on them. they would work well in a highly deadened door/infinate baffle.

amp is covered, and im looking to spend about 200 ish on all 4 speakers

dont want anyhting in the trunk anymore

I say go with a good set of components and amp them. So do you already have an amp or not?

nope, but it will be something that pushed a little over 60x4 @ 4 ohms

but isnt components for mids/highs? i want lows too

if you want lows from 6.5's those jl's are where its at... other than that, youre not gonna get too too low without at least a single 10" sub... id say some alpine type-s components are nice... jl makes an awesome component set for a good price... but 200 bucks for all 4 speakers isnt that much if you want good quality speakers... infinity kappa's are phenominal, but theyre kidna hefty on price... your best bet is eBay... look around at what ppl on the forums say about speakers, and then go to eBay to find em... thats what i did and most of the experienced ppl here know their speakers... im not saying im an expert, but ive had experience with all the three i mentioned... and i havent een disappointed... but you gotta remember, a speaker is only as good as the amp powering it more often than not.

im not real familiar with elemental designs... how are they in terms of quality... spl? sq?
