quick couple question for you guys I need a good set of 6x9s. I have a 98 honda civic. I have a kenwood KAC-8401 its like 60 watts x 4 rms it runs infinty ref. 6.5 componets in front with some pioneer 4 way 6x9s. I would like to get a better sounding set of 6x9s, also dont know whether to get 2 or 3 or 4 ways. A better 4 channel amp is in the near future.. thanks

Pioneer REV ( yellow kevlar cone) or Boston Acoustics.Do a search, i think there are a couple other good ones

Dont bother with 3-4 ways. Simple 2 way is all you need.
I second that rec on the BA's. I remember a buddy in HS has some in the rear deck running of HU power and they were crazy loud and suprisingly clear:eek:

my price range is no more then 150 at the very most. So boston acoustic sounds good what series? any others brands? and go with 2 ways ? also would the mid range bass be better if installed something to enclose the 6x9s i dont know what there called tho. anybody know where i can find those to fit a civic ? im in the process of trying to put together a good/ decent system! So all your help is appreciated

infinity makes great 6x9s. Even their reference line is outstanding, they are on par with the pioneers, the kappa line is even better. Only go 2-ways unless they have an external x-over.

I think the JBLs that Colin+M is selling would sound better than the Pioneer REVs or and Infinities (Reference, Kappa, or otherwise) I've heard the REVs and the pair of Pioneer Premier TS-E6990 I have in storage walks all over them - and they're a considerably older speaker.

Just my $0.02.

infinity kappas i have 6 1/2 in componets and the 6by9's amped getting like 75rms to each and they get pretttyyyyy loud nice lil ear ringing when you get out of my car.

There are no online distributors that are authorized by DAT to carry their gear. If bought anywhere other than an authorized B&M (brick and mortar) retailer it will not carry a valid manufacturer's warranty.

Having said that as warranties are not that important to some people you can find Diamond products on eBay, at SonicElectronix, MillionBuy, etc etc etc so on and so forth

Thanks Prowler for the recommendation:) I am selling the JBL's for $100 shipped, and they sound great with head unit power, and really come to life when amplified.

..end of self-promotion
