Obviously there are some people that know what they are doing and some that don't (in any job). Saying the people on this forum are so much smarter than everyone at best buy, meanwhile 4 of the 12 people that have posted in this thread have worked there is dumb. I agree that most of their sales people and installers only know the products they are selling, not the underground brands and therefor are obviously not going to sell you dd/fi/sundown. They are there to make money. There are also many shitty installers at small audio shops, but they may have better brands.

I have been trying to get on with all of them forever... Worked for the smaller one for about half a year but he was too slow to keep me... The other shops know me by first name but still wont hire me...

As of lately, I'd be happy to get on anywhere lol

Very...the last show I went to around here, its was just sad. Knock-off subs everywhere. Rusted out "lambo doors" on like 07 Chargers. There were like 2 legit systems in the whole show. 3 if you count my golf cart lol The winner of "best in show" was just pretty much a stock Lexus GS350 with rims. The cars with systems were so shabby they were barely even considered.

So, in my case, everything from the Kicker in Walmart to the Kicker and Alpine in Best Buy is a breath of fresh air lol

I just go to Best Buy to browse, when an associate ask's if I need help I just say "No thank you". They don't have much in the way of car audio anyway.

right.. At least Crescendo advertises they use 3% tolerance caps (like that is supposed to be a good thing) in case your 3.5k sounds odd compared to the Orion HCCA 2500 you replaced ...then they can say "we told you so"

i most def dont know everything. but i was approched by a guy when i was sitting and playing with my wifes system(kinda adjusting it). he said he had 4 audiobahn immortals on 2 power acoustik sl-1000s(maybe 500rms each lol), and he said "he hit over 170dbs" at a audioshop but he doesnt have it with him right now

The installer at one of ours is a cool dude, he knows his stuff too. He runs kicker everything and it sounds pretty **** good and a clean *** install

It works if done properly. Problem is, 95% of the people w/ Kicker in the vehicle, aren't doing it properly.
