I think it's funny when you talk to a MECP certified installer and they think that they know everything and nobody else knows what they are talking about. A kid I went to trade school with never got into car audio and was a teachers pet. Now he is an installer in SD for Best Buy and thinks he knows everything under the sun.

I'm just waiting for the guy that told me my Soundstream SPLX subs were free-air subs and needed to be in a small sealed box because they won't get loud ported to put his two Schoshe Hyperdrive 15" in his car on the (no f'n clue on brand) 2000 rms amp (80a fusing) to term lab for pinks.

messing with the sound boards at best buy and walmart got me interested in audio at a young age (7-8). Only thing they are good for really. I went home that day took all my stereo speakers out of there cabinets, made a big cardboard box with paper towel rolls for some support, ran the wires out, and sealed it up with duct tape. I about pissed myself when i noticed the the front door shakin HARD. Been addicted ever since. Now the tards that work there and the convos i've had, I could go on all day lol

it started for me when a dude from the city was dating a friend of the family and said he has a whole bunch of car audio stuff he wanted to get rid of when I was 9. He gave me most of it (old kenwooddeck, pyle 6x9's,2x10 MTX Blue thunder's in single truck boxes and a old jensen amp that had the sliding plastic cover over the gauges). Wired the 6x9's and 10's up to my bedroom stereo
