Did you set the gains at all? Do you have the RCAs hooked to the input and not the output?

He probably grounded out his RCAs when switching amps by leaving the RCAs and removing the ground and power wires first.

Doesn't matter, I bought new rcas for this amp. no rcas plugged in when i connected the power and ground.

you need to switch the master/slave switch to input slave. im 99.9% sure you have it set to master. i have the exact same amp and had the same problem

you are incorrect. if it is only one amp, it needs to be set to master.

Either way it's your amp bud..

Find a friend w/ a system that's easy to get to and try hooking it up in their car.. see if it works then. Or call AQ and see if they'll refurbish it.

I pissed around with a blown Cadence amp for about a week, it kept going in and out of protect, finally I sent it in and they fixed it for $10 warrantied.

Either way you need to find somehow to test the amp, and if you can't test it you'll either need to get it fixed or replaced.

It def ain't the wiring if the other amp worked.

lol, i cant believe some of the advice here.

ok for one, if its not working at ALL, then it has nothing to do with wire gauges, alt or fuse sizes. Jesus use your brain. Even if that stuff was too small it would still play slightly. Obviously your battery is charged if your starting your car. OBVIOUSLY the deck, rca's and speakers are working fine if you put your old amp on and it works. Even if your gain was completely wrong when you turn your headunit all the way up it would vibrate or SOMETHING.

Clearly its an issue with your amp. Maybe a blown fuse on the amp? If its coming on and still no output, it could be a mechanical breakdown. Maybe the amp is just fubared. At that point your going to want to send the amp to someone who knows wtf they are doing with amps. Return it or something.

Here's something you can try. Do you have a remote bass level/boost wire hooked to the amp? (It's the thing that looks like either an ethernet cable or a telephone line.) If you do, try unplugging it from the amp. Some knobs are not compatible with other brands of amps. I hooked a kicker remote knob to a profile amp and no sound, unhooked it, everything works.

If you don't have one, than obviously this isn't your problem.

ya youd think so but i own the exact same amp and it has to be on Input slave to work alone.
