I built a box, but no bass Professional help please

um...that drawing looks like a bandpass...who drew that let alone make it

u can put a aa8 in a bandpass..but being that the fs is so dam high..u will have to build a huge box to even tune the shit low

so who ever made that....made u a highpowered midbass box

yeah, ya know waht would ****, is if he got Pi**ed off about bieng made fun of and went to a bass competition and started blowin people away with a 12 guage... or his assassin

if you plan on building a new box and want to use a ported box

try the calcualtor at http://www.the12volt.com .

enter the w x h x d and the wood thickness, if your using 3/4 mdf it's .75

to get your cu. ft. then use there port length calculator to find the tuning freq. you want try around 40hz with that sub. generally the smaller the port the more chance of port noise you will get so try at least a 3" port.

and the longer the port the lower it will be tuned to.

were to buy port:

to be completely honest with you, not picking on you anymore, i'll tell you this:
simply having 2 different types of subs in the trunk can cause issues/cancellation/decreased output.

having two different sizes of subs makes the problem even worse.

having two different sized enclosures will make it worse yet

havint two completely different TYPES of enclosures even worse

and of course, a ported enclosure that isn't even tuned, but with a hole cut in it is undefineable by logic.

on top of that, with so many different drivers, you could even having phasing issues, as well as cancellation issues with respect to the different pathlengths between the drivers, the back of the car, and then your ears.

there's WAY too many variables happening here for anyone to narrow it down to one reason you don't have bass.

you really need to start from scratch here. there aren't 'things' wrong, quite frankly, EVERYTHING is wrong.

Do yourself a favor, spend time reading up on here. Before you buy anything ask us, if you have questions about anything ask, and for the love of god, before you so much as turn up your volume knob, ASK US FOR HELP! You'll find this hobby is nicer when you get good results the first time. it's cheaper too.
