I built a box, but no bass Professional help please

uhhh, so ur original argument is why aint I getting any bass from my assasin. The answer is because u have a box with a hole in it....not port....but hole! Cover up the whole with some wood, nail it down and caulk the edges and U should get more bass than u have now......btw, u might get sum laughs if u take ur box with a big azz hole(air leak) in it to a pro near u.

no, dont leave...things are just getting started! lol

I dunno...At least you TRIED. It took me a long time to get the balls just to try. My first box was nowhere near as horrible as yours, lol, but man it was a mess to get done. Do you have any box-building programs? Do you have any plans from anywhere else, or did you simply draw that picture up and go for it? If you don't have a good plan at the beginning it's hard to have a quality finished product. Stick with it though, man. When I first started out I took an old box from Crutchfield, cut 2 holes in it and stuck PVC pipe in it. I also had 1 Alpine 'type-r' & 1 rockford fosgate 'something or another' sub.

Your best bet is to find someone (WorldDre has offered help) who can build it for you, but at his house or yours. That way you can watch, help, and learn. That's how I learned. Now the friends who taught me how to install a cd player ask me advice on different things. Don't worry about feeling like an idiot when it comes to this stuff. To this day I still second-guess myself on EVERYTHING that I do. If I'd spend less time worrying and more time doing, I'd have my car completely done the way I want it by now. Every day I'm reading and learning more. Just keep coming back here and posting whenever you have questions. So far, the guys/girls here are the best when it comes to good advice and not making you feel stupid.

There's ALWAYS going to be someone who bashes you but don't worry about them. They probably had a shop do it for them and don't realize the level of skill involved. Still, others just think it's plain funny because it reminds them of the way they were (maybe not this bad) when they started. Try to enjoy it. Who knows, you may wind up becoming pretty good at this once you get your hands a little more dirty.
