I have never bought a car... I have 4k in the bank

I am going to look at an Explorer tomorrow. I only have tomorrow to do this so keep that in mind. Also keep in mind I am visiting AL right now, I am training in GA where I am busy Monday thru Friday so I cannot do ANYTHING..

I plan on giving him the 3k and financing 3... How does the tags and insurance work out? I am assuming I just have to drive it back and find out a way to get to the local DMV but what about the insurance? And anything else I am not thinking of? Also is there a deposit on ins?

there is actually a couple I am looking at. Either way I have to get one tomorrow. Whether I pay cash for one, pay with a down payment and get ***** on interest or what. I have to get one, my truck if toast.

Pretty much I am wandering if you can get ahold of tags at times other than normal times on weekdays, and how the insurance works?
