Got arrested tonight...

For underage alcohol possesion. Going to try an keep this short and simple.

First my buddies were drinking in the hotel parking lot while my other friend was buying the room.

Cop pulled in, buddies threw their beers and the cop saw. He took down all our information and asked if we were stayin at the hotel. We all said yes. He let us off.

15 minutes later I was walking down the street to go to another party. Cop pulls up and tells me to get in the car. Pulls back into the hotel parking lot. Makes me pick up their beers, then breathalizes me after I told him they weren't mine and he could finger print them for proof.

He said I failed the breathalizer and cuffs me and takes me to the station. I was drinking hours earlier. I asked what I blew and he said I just failed and wouldn't tell me

Then we get to the station and gives me a ticket for alcohol possesion.

Should I plead not guilty? I mean, yea I was drinking hours earlier, but I was just walking down the street on the sidewalk minding my own business. Plus he didnt tell me what I blew. (I'm not sure if they have to tell you or not) But I know it wasn't much.

Yea, but I did not have a beer when he came the first time. I was drinking at a party before. He told us to go into our room and if there was any problems he had our info. They were drinking more in the room and I decided to go to my girls house down the street.

Then he picked me up when I still had nothing on me.

He didn't give you a ticket for underage drinking so what happened with the breathalyzer isn't really relevant. Those handheld breathalyzers aren't permissible in court anyways, they can only be used to take you to the station and use the big reliable breathalyzer on you. If you tell this same story to a judge i dont think you chances are going to be good unless your willing to pay for a lawyer. Frankly it sounds like he was letting you guys off and warning you to stay in for the night which you probably should have done.

was it the same cop that talked to your buddies that pulled up and picked you up? sounds like your buddies ratted you out to save their own ***. otherwise how would the cop know who you were and to say, get in the car?

someone in your group snitched.

EDIT: were you with your buddies in the first place when the cop caught them in the parking lot or were you already at the other party?

It sounds to me like this cop saw you guys drinking, and even though he knew you were underage he was lenient enough to let you off since you were staying in that hotel. Then when he sees some young kid walking around the city at night who he knows has been drinking, and didn't take his earlier warning, he made an understandable arrest to protect the community from drunken teenagers. You passed the breathalyzer so he hit you with the alcohol possession which he had good reason to believe you were guilty of. Even if you weren't drinking the mess that your friends left lying around (which i doubt is true, and so will a judge), you've already admitted to drinking underage and being in possession of alcohol anyways. Do you really think your innocent?

Me and 5 of my friends one night were arrested for Disorderly Conduct. 4 of us were actually doing the act that was disorderly and the other two were the ride/with us. They were both arrested on the spot with us and all of us had to post the $250 bail.

Association is a *****, but when you do stupid sh!t, you can't expect everything to go smooth and to get off scotch free.

None of us regret that night btw, it was actually a tight experience. I think everyone should go to jail once just to see how it is lol.
