Hybrid Imagine Speakers too deep.......

Well, for Christmas, I received some Hybrid Imagine component speakers, and come to find out, even with a 1" spacer, they are still too deep (major bummer!). So now I'm looking for some other components to replace my crappy Diamond Hex's. Now the problem lies in what will fit. The Hex's have a top mount depth of 2 1/8" and they fit with very little to spare. My budget $250-$350. Is there anything in that range that will fit and leave me happy over those Hex's? Thanks!

Amp for components: Phoenix Gold Ti750

Doors will be sealed (2002 Grand Am GT)

What size did you get? the 6.5's are only a 1/2" deeper than what you have at 2 11/16". Maybe talk to Scott Buwalda at Hybrid audio and trade them in on a set of the clarus 5.25's they have a 2 1/4" mounting depth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
