Hx2 Problem

I just built a sealed box for my 1 RF punch hx2 12" to RF spec with about 1.3 cubic feet. Its deffinately air tight. When i turn it up im not getting volume at all just alot of movement. It almost sounds like it's bottoming out. It's running off a Hifonics Brutus BX500D at 1ohm. Is my amp set wrong? I've heard other HX2's knock so i dont know whats up. Is it getting enough power or too much? Maybe I should wire it at 4 ohm? Any help would be appreciated!

Check your amps gain and crossover settings. If the speakers really moving then it should put out a decent volume, try repositioning the box and see if that makes a difference. Bass is usually loudest with the sub near the back, facing back.

If that doesn't help, maybe try a ported box.
