i have one question... once all taken apart i looked inside the gap, and where the magnets are "stacked" you can see a little "glue" or something oozing into the gap. is this normal? not alot, maybe 1mm. if you look you can kind of see it in the last pic.

i don't know what i'm going to do yet but first it all has to come apart. if you think it'll work i'm gonna try to get a RE HC recone for it. why does the basket have to come off? i tried but the screws were pretty tight, and i didn't want to strip them.

You can't just buy some random recone kit and expect it to work. You could send the sub to me and I could (more than likely) rebuild it for you, but just buying some old recone kit wont cut it.

the thing is...shipping. there is a place that was gonna rebuild it for 100-120 but shipping is 35-40 one way! that is over $200. hell for that price i could just get a diff speaker.

yeah but thats not counting shipping either...130-160. what cone would you be putting in it? i've heard from alot of people that the HC recone would work with this motor, why don't you guys think it'd work?
