HURRY SOMEONE HELP ME im about to meet with box builder in less than and hr....

I have 4 hdc3 18 copper d2's ive been having for a yr or so now and im ready to start getting the box built

**TODAY** for my B-day

but im stuck between the two

35hz tuning or 38hz tuning ??? need help asap

i listen to alot of gorilla zoe, gucci mane and jeezy........oh and lil jon (whatever tuning plays things like juice box and throw it up by lil jon with authority is what i want)

I want to be loud as F*** thats why i went with 4 18's

i guess i cant have it both ways....

i would rather go 38hz tuning like everyone else but...... i see other with 35hz and whats the the 36hz tunings

im looking for the sound that flexs everything around it and makes it where you cant breathe

this will be subs up port back in an 02' chevy suburban (i was going with a wall but itll take to long i want it NOW!)

35hz would be my choice, but I'm a stickler for lower tuned boxes.

you seriously won't hear much a difference, if any, between 35hz and 38hz

if you can't choose go in the middle and do 36.5

ok so 35hz and not 38hz?? okay bet and whats with this 36hz tuning ive been seeing???

also ive found out the displacements for these hdc318s is .33 per sub

and they like 6 cb ft of space per sub

now i need to find out how big to make the port

___he should already know this though huh???

im asking so many question because i hear DD type subs are box picky and will sound hollow if not done correctly

ill be feeding each sub a 2608d hifonics that will hopefully put out anywhere from 2000-2400 watts

long as i can play juice box and lil jon type bass ill be good.....

im trying to get everthing i want him to do to the box wrote down

-bracing

-45's is a must

-resin

-tuning

-brass wire bolts for terminals

-all that good stuff

okay 3hz wont make a diff thanx you all

i was going crazy trying to figure out what would be best thats really what i wanted to hear

so i can go 38hz like dj says and slam low bass like gorilla zoe just as good as a 35hz tune....YES!

i was just asking because i love the flex this guy is getting but it looks like he can only play C&S good nvr seems to play regular speed music



really just want bass that take your breath away wheres its no point in talking in the car while the music is playing...

i think im gonna grow some balls and go 38hz after all its what dj told me a year ago its just that video changed everything



now i like that bass but as long as i can do it at 38hz im definitely good

how much port should i shoot for?

and this tuning should it be before or after displacement? (i dont know what this means but i just want to have all info ready at hand) this is the guys first time handling AQ's
