Hurricane Victims X-mas list

I feel sorry for the elderly people w/ no family that were pretty much stranded and all the people who had to drown in their nursing home bed...that would **** balls. I also feel for the kids, who had no choice wether they left or not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.
I totally agree about Moving>rebuilding

A single tornado can do a good amount of damage, now take 20 of throw and put em in the same day...and thats some trouble //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. Not saying its as bad as katrina...but its not a pretty sight.

Also, how long in advance were people warned of katrina? Often times, you don't get much warning for a tornado //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Tornados usually take out what? a single town or so? Im not real smart on dem tuuuurnadderrrssss but I dont THINK (could be wrong) they could do damage like Katrina did. While I know they are dangerous, and can cause millions and millions of dollars in damage......Katrina did well into the billions.

first off.....1) EVERY person in new orleans, was warned THOUSANDS OF TIMES, and if they missed the memo, its common ****ing sense! theres a HUGE whirl of wind faster than ever before........HEADED YOUR WAY. HOW ****ING STUPID do you have to be.

2) New Orleans damage wasnt done by wind. It was done by water and completely ****ing RETARDED *** PEOPLE. period.

3) Theres a big thind of wind coming.......and YOUR UNDER SEA LEVEL. WHO DOESNT ****ING LEAVE!

4) The coast had more wind damage than New Orleans, yet doesnt get shit for recognition compared to them, yet ITS WHERE THE STORM HIT.

5) Its all politics and stereotypes. A poor black city gets hit, oh god we better cover them or they will ***** because they didnt get something. **** THAT. You get yours and leave us ours.

6) The media makes things 100x worse. They asked the dumbest guy in america right now, Mayor Nagen or whatever his name is, that if he thought that the leveys were BLOWN UP to rid the state of a low income BLACK COMMUNITY. THE FRENCH QUARTER AND NEW ORLEANS IS A ****ING TOURIST TRAP BEYOND IMAGINATION

you think any of the ****ers that came to my town, or houston before the storm knew where they were going? nope. but they packed up and left. and if you didnt have somewehere to go, come here-----an hour away and get in a shelter.

I hope you lonely and poor when you're 80 years old. So you can pick up and walk 200 miles to hope you get away from the hurricane //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I value my life more than anythign I own. So if I did not have a ride, I would start walking. There would have been someone that would have picked people up and taken them somewhere

Evacuation at that point was free or VERY cheap for your information. They would take you where you would be safe (houston) BEFORE the storm, and if you couldnt figure that one out as it wasnt a real big thing, but it was announced, if your SO BROKE that you cant get 60 dollars for a greyhound ride to houston, you dont need to be living in a house.
Man you just keep proving what a tard you really are. A lot of people didnt have a choice and didnt have 60 bucks do get out. The old people, kids, and a slew of others. I dont care if it was free. They ran out of transportation taking people over there period. Not even so much a factor of money, but time and pretty much trying to evacuate a fawking huge city. Like I said until your put in the situation, then we all can talk shit, but we dont truely understand it. I feel bad for a lot of them after watching that special on dateline. Truely sad, truely.

first off, if i knew my life was in complete ****in danger, id go north west in louisiana, you didnt even have to go THAT far. hell.......the ONLY "major" damage in louisiana was the very edge and a few miles in, of course fallen trees were everywhere, but who cant dodge a falling tree? I wouldnt be stupid enough to live on the coast either. I would be an hour inland atleast...........where i am now.

you have a point, and i hadnt said it on here before this, but elderly, nursing home patients, kids, and disabled get my sympathy and sorrow, but the rest....you had more than enough warning.

most hurricanes aren't as bad as the media makes em sound. Florida was back up and running in no time after gettin hit by those 4 hurricanes a couple years back.

Katrina was a different story because a) it was so powerful and b) because new orleans is a city that was built and is inhabited by dumbasses.

Dude, I live in a city that has been hit 3 times in two years by hurricanes!! In 04 we had two hit 18 days apart. You obviously have no clue what it is to go through a hurricane with 135 mph winds for 4hrs straight. It is a nightmare, I lived in Miami when Andrew hit and I hid in a bath tub under a matress with a weatherband radio waiting for it to be safe to come out. I moved out of state but I ended up back in Florida in 04 for work, (not because I love to live here) a month before the 2 hit back to back. People here were still repairing there homes last year when hurricane Wilma hit and it was like starting all over again.

As far as being back up and running I had no power for 29 days and i was one of the first to get power back after the 2 hit because I am on a hospital grid. NO safe water for 12 days, we had to boil everything, NO gas for 40 miles for a week. I lived with a tarp on my roof for 8 months while I waited for a contractor to rebuild my roof. THere was a 14 month waiting list for roof repairs alone, so i did what i could so it would hold up over the time i had to wait. I never rebuilt my patio screening because it isn't worth it.

Don't talk to me about back up and running until you know what it is like. I dont know where you live but i am sure that you have your share of natural occurances, but i guess everything is always up and running the next day since it is your own special utopia.......

i lived through the storm, and know people who lost a lot, maybe not a loved one, but......you cant be sooo ****ing stupid to not get out if possible. the ones who ABSOLUTELY COULDNT.......i feel bad for...if you stayed cuz "u love ur home"......u deserve it.
