ok i have an mj-18 on about 1000 watts, and i am wanting to get a new 12in. powerbass 2XL. so i am wondering wich one of these will be louder on 1000 watts, and i know its stupid to compare a 12 in. to an 18 in most cases but the mj-18 is not exactly as loud as most 18's. oh and the 18 is in a 3 cu ft sealed box and the powerbass would be in recomended ported box.

Considering you've been here for 8 months... you should know that there are too many variables to give an answer.

well i know, but i figured ppl would know how both of these sound in the recommended enclosures, and on 1000 watts.

the odds one person has tested both of them with the same amount of power and in the same car as yours is pretty slim

first of all turn down the gains a bit. ur not gaining anything running 1000w on that subs over 850 except heating up the sub.
