these are new batts from the factory. they are unbranded. when they were inspected at the factory before labels were to be put on them, they were noticed to have a scratch or two on them. so no labels were added and they were branded "blem" as in blemished. they function as new just may have had a scratch on the case. no cracked or dead batts are labeled "blem" by the factory.
these are sealed lead asid batts. they are NOT bry cells. they are best mounted upright.
