Huge Battery Drain

K I hooked all my system up but after giving it a test run.. the next day my car wouldn't start.. I got it jumped by AAA and then later on that day I was driving it around again noticing that my 900w Fosgate (punch 801s) was really taxing the battery my headlights would flicker, dome lights would flicker... Then I turn the car off and try to put it on again and my battery was dead again..

yeaaah hopefully its not the alternator.. thats supposedly more money right? i wish i had the lucci to upgrade the battery AND the alternator..

Don't know much about this topic, but didn't you say that the problem started right after installing your system? Could be coincidence...might not be. The battery or alt could have been on its way out for a while and the newly installed system is causing it to fail. Or you may have shagged up the electrical system when installing the system. Only way to find out is to get it all tested.

yeah i checked if the REM wire was wired up to something that was constant 12V.. it isn't so the amp is off when the ignition is off but when everythings running the system still taxes the car..

i didn't figure this type of stuff happened to relatively newer cars i've got a '01 Mitsubishi galant figured id be okay alternator and battery wise.. i need to have an inspection done anyways so ill ask them to check that stuff out
