HU wont fit in dash... lol

no lol i dont have L shaped rcas, CF said it fits in my vehicle, where can i get a spacer? its only like.. maybe less than a 1 inch of room i need, and only thing i can hack way it.. is well.. metal lol
I'd go pick up some double female rca elbow's from radio shack, they're like $2-$3 each and allow for the HU to fit. I had the same problem, same car but I just pushed the lil biotch in there until it bent the RCA's. But eventually got the elbows.

its that whole piece, dunno what its called you can see the metal, then the black part over-lapping it just under my ground, thats where their hitting up against

See the last thing on the list for the modified fit?

It's recommended that you cut that support bracket out, but if you maneuver it in there correctly, you shouldn't have to.

yeah but what am i supposed to use to cut it out? i e-mailed CF, wanna see what they say, what HU did you have to squeeze yours in for?

i also asked this on GAOC to see what thye have to say, usually i know most if not everything about GA's but this stumpped me.. lol

Alpine iDA-x100

Took a little bit of time to get it in there, had to act like i was putting it in towards the right, like I inserted it with the back facing towards the right, then turned it so it was flat. you could use a grinder to cut it, definitely wont be easy. I'd go with the RCA elbows first. relatively cheap and you can always return them

i may just use a hole saw instead.. i think i have a few attachments hanging around.. if not,, guess ill drill a shit load of 1/4" holes with the drill and just bend/tear/pull/rip until the metal between holes comes apart and pulls off, until it creates a big hole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

unibit, drill bit, dikes, dremel, airsaw, chisel, utility knife, different dash kit... ive use a list of different things to make room, but my favorite are aviation shears... how i love my aviation shears...

aviation sheers? link?

as for new dash kit, i did buy a new one, but same as my old one lol, i need the pocket under the HU for when i get my EQ installed, so yeah.. im gonna cut it out. as for dremel, i wish mine didnt go to shit on me

they may not help your situation, but they are fantastic.
ive got a pair of those somewhere, dont think it will help cut the metal though, but can try

and as far as going with an EQ, figure it would give me more tuning options in my system cause my alpine HU doesnt have that wide of a range for tuning unless i get imprint which i'd rather get a 50-100$ EQ for now

i love my imprint tuner...

and it would move your rca's to a different location... jus sayin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

is it the loop that comes up behind the radio, or a full wall of metal?

i can't remember car from car, and i did 3 grand am sub/amps today- just all with a

loc...
