HU with AUX input

Ok i went and bought a rca to mini plug adapter and i hooked it up to my mp3player and boy was I dissatisfied.

It only played thru my frontt speakers and it was quiet couldn't use hu to raise or lower volume.

seems i may need to purchase the cd-rb10 for my hu from pioneer or ebay.

You might need to adjust the volume on your MP3 player. I have to turn my iRiver almost all the way up.

It was all the way up and didnt play thru my subs

I have my ipod hocked up to my pioneer preimer p770 thru monster cable rcas. I bought the AUX adapater that goes in the bus of the H/U and i get cd quality sound if not better.

I got this

IP-BUS-RCA

And bought the monster cable rca for the ipod. Cd quality sound.

most alpines will work with that type of an input. check out that 5425 for sale on here. it is a good deal on that deck, and you can get a really good input cable for it, i have a 5425 with the input cable, but i am not sure about selling it. actually it is brand new.

i have someting similar but i play the music stored n my Phone using the y cable, then a converte that converts 1/8 inch, to the miniplug.

Not sure why. I just plugged mine in and it worked fine. Are you sure you got a stereo 1/8" convertor? Sometimes they aren't marked well.

Looks like the right cable to me. Does your MP3 player have a lineout port along with a headphone port?

Nope

I think I figured out the problem, with pioneer you must buy the ip bus adaptor to use aux line.
