HU with 8v preouts and full ipod/iphone control from the Ipod?

Hi all, I have a Pioneer deh-p6000mp HU right now, and although its very nice and I like the features, it lacks in the preout voltage coming in at along 4v, and with the new system I'm installing, a 8v preout would do me well. One thing I love about he pioneer is that it allows me plug in my iphone with a regular ipod cable and I can fully control my song selection via the iphone, so I don't have to reach to the HU to change songs. This is so nice for me as my HU is a good reach in my truck. It also charges my phone which I love. And I can turn off the display so it goes black and thats great for at night.

Is there a HU out there with 8v preouts that supports this type of ipod/iphone control and support and charging? I don't mind having to buy an adapter if I have to, but it must be able to support these things.

Any help?

Thanks, Dan.

Thanks for the recommendation, but that HU doesn't have nearly the EQ control that even my Pioneer has. I need something with a good EQ. I guess I was hoping to find an eclipse unit that meets my goals.

What do you mean, lack of internal? Why does that matter if you claim u need more voltage? Some amps can't even take 8 volts. Also your precious Pioneer features doesn't make it sound better. All of those Eclipses are better, but maybe not for your Iphone? I'm just speaking from experience. I've never heard a Clarion 6v, JVC 5v, or Pioneer 4v sound stronger than an Alpine or Eclipse, and I've ran all those brands. You just to get a line driver because the Pioneer should be enough or more power to your speakers. Maybe try an Audiocontrol Three.1?

Not sure if you meant to, but your post is coming off rather hostile.

By lack of internal amp, I was referring to the eclipse 7200 mkII. It has no internal amp for standard speakers in my doors, etc. While its not a major issue, it would make me buy another amp just to run my highs.

And I never said my "precious pioneer" made it sound better. I simply stated I liked the features that it had and it worked well for my Iphone. The EQ on it is sub-par at best. I had an older Pioneer that had a much better EQ until recently but only changed b/c of the iphone control that this on has. Pioneer HU's have gone down in EQ quality lately.

Eclipse makes some of the best HU's available, and I'd rather have a higher quality HU than the iphone control. I'll make do with available aux. input adapters and enjoy my new higher quality HU.

Warning: Lots of people are this forum are hostile.

You need 8v preouts but you are running the mains off of deck power? That is some effed priorities.

What amp are you running to need 8v anyway? My old 4v alpine(7940) could clip any amp including my alpine 757's input. The only amp it would not clip wan an adcom that was intended to be used with a high voltage line driver.
