Panasonic Head units?

Getting back into it!
Been looking into panasonic head units since a local dealer can hook them up at a great price. How do these fair? It will be a 9800 model or similar on a car that just has amp/comps, no subs.

Thinking about pairing with MB Quarts, Image Dynamics, or Phoenix Gold comp sets.

Any suggestions?

I got a cq-vd6503u and it's a huge pos/pita I can't skip thru from song to song on music vids. the ipod adapter controls it but I can't search thru the songs or even switch playlists from what I've experienced. Its a HUGE pos compared to the JVC I had/have but it's better in longetivity apparently but then again I'm comparing a top of the line 2009 model jvc double din to whatever older double din this is lol. anyway, I'd say go thru the features and stuff and be sure it can do what you want it to. it has adjustments for xovers and individual speaker volume levels thru the touch screen which is kinda nice but the two things I dislike about it stand out for me strongly...

I ordered a remote for it to see if I can skip from song to song on my music vids with it. if not I'm gonna be getting rid of it soon as I get my jvc fixed.

IMO Panasonic have great features and price. SQ is mediocre. They also tend to feel cheap. I cant explaign just the buttons and knobs always feel weird to me compared to even a low end pioneer or kenwood.
