HU Screen Problems

Nothing Is Promised
So my ~5month old 9853's screen is now flickering. It works fine but the backlight is like pulsating if you know what I mean. I just noticed it like two days ago.

Any ideas?

Edit: I just noticed last night that it only does the flickering type thing when the motor is on. When its just running off my battery and motor is off, it doesn't flicker...

Take a DMM to the power leading into it and make sure it's getting 12vdc or more continuously (check to see if the voltage shown you HU isn't fluctuating and dropping below 12vdc).

Outside of that your problem is a completely new one on me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Is it under warranty through anyone?

I don't have a DMM...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

Well I know my voltage drops like a rock. I have a Stinger voltmeter and it drops quickly. I have 1/0AWG to do the big three but I don't have any jacks to lift my front up cuz my alt is on the bottom of my motor. When I get in in the morning the VM says ~13.8-.9. By the time I'm at school (~15minutes later) its at 13.3 area. Not pushing my 601.1 hard but I guess it draws too much for my little 80A to handle.

I got the 9853 through Best Buy with my bro's discount..

It's either one of two things. Your alternator is not charging effectively to run your system, or your battery is showing signs of depletion. Your HU will run properly with the battery alone, even if it NOW starting to go, but after a while it will show up. Try playing your system loudly on your battery alone, and if it does not flicker, then your problem is definitely your alternator. Get an electrical check done! I had the same problem!

Well I do know my voltage drops quickly. And I have 1/0 kicker flew wire to do the Big 3. I just need to jack my car up so I can do the big 3. But I don't have any jacks. This alt/car has to last me 19more days. New car in 19days so yeah. I hope I don't have to drop more money on this car... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
