HU not providing sound

Hi guys,

I'm trying to install a new HU (Pyle RRR18U) into my car, so that I can later install a sub and amp.

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry XLE.

The problem I am having, (after rewiring and changing the stock adapter that connects to the old HU, to the adapter that came with my new HU,) was that the new HU is turning on and functioning correctly but not playing any sound. I then found out that my car comes with a stock amp and read that this could be causing some of the problems. I want to install a new amp later on so for now I would like to just bypass the amp. Any help or advice here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Pyle hu?? Oh no

Back to your problem, you will def need to locate that factory amp, disconnect the wire harness and trace back which color wires go to your factory speakers/replaced speakers and then wire them up from there. Should be a piece of cake once you locate the amp. Usually it could be under the seat, under the dash, etc.

Hey thanks for the response.

I did disconnect everything, I have it wired correctly too but I still get no power to the stereo system. Its strange because The first time I tired to wire it up (when the factory amp was still connected) I was able to get power to the radio but no sound thru the speakers. Now I cant even get the HU to turn on. Any Ideas?
