HU for a serious SQL system

Werd:peace:Alpine seems to be where Im leaning......BTW that Imprint accessory does in fact sound like its living up to the hype.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ya I had mine Imprinted for free , U would be surprised at the SQ curve dif after the imprint is finished, u can memory bank 2 curves , I chose linear, and something for my mid range and highs, no matter where u sit in my rig the sound output is the same , and crystal clear, if u do decide to go that rout please remember to set your sub amp up for the process, IE turn your freq up on sub All the way up, turn gain down a lil below ormal and set your hp/lp freqs this way it sets your subs as a mid bass and u just overide it by retuneing amps freq after the imprint, truley sounds awesome , but im sure there are other HU that can do the same for u in a diff way.. gl lemee know how it turns out if u go 9887

great info for the imprint. Sounds like Alpine got it right.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Eclipse is the only other brand Ive heard of offering something similar, although I have little to no knowledge on their method.

Anyone else hear of others?????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Nice:thumbsup:

Those are the best specs Ive seen on a screen HU without having to purchase a separate signal processor (yes its built in and yes the price reflects it, but at lest the installs easier:p:).

Heres a good question. You can see what I have in my sig. My only complaints for that HU are that there is no rotary knob (a little detail, but I noticed it bothering me after a while), it needed some better graphical display (whats the point of the big screen if its just blue the whole time?), and NO display at all while it was closed (had to open it to see what song i was selecting or even see what volume level (or how much higher I could safely go) I was on).//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Id like to sell it and the processor (I actually wanna sell the whole thing and design a new system from scratch.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif), and given the complaints I had about the last one, what would you reccommend and why???

Thats another brand Ive never heard of.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif Learning whats out there every day. Anything else????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

go for the Nakamichi. Or that Denon HU...don't know the model # for sure.

Then there's that sought after Rockford Fosgate HU that's gold in color, don't know the model though....

man, talk about built for performance only!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
Some of the Naks have had reported reliability issues. I can't speak to it personally but it might be worth searching. Check here and over on DIYMA and ECA.

Yeah, I dont see myself going that route. Id probably look for that High end quaility for my home theater system or something, but not for my lifted truck rolling around town. I bet the sound is great though:cool:

Any other new reccommendations???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Almost all have been covered here unless you want to start talking about rare units like the Panasonic with tubes.

Go buy the alpine combo.

Good thread everyone....Peace! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

Actually, after Ive entertained the Idea of a big screen for a while, I think Ill be going with the Alpine 9887. like I said waaaay earlier, Im going active (3 way) and this seems to be the best one out there. Screens are cool, but I think Ill be happier with this one when its all said and done.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Again, great thread!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif Latas
