HU equalizer and multiple amps?

So I am looking to get an 880prs pioneer routed to two amps (300/4 and 500/1 JL). Mono amp running to 10w6 sub, and 300/4 running to c5's cs and cx front and back.

My question is will my HU recognize how to equalize my components through the amps? The amps have crossovers. I know the 880 has a 3set preamp outs. Will I be using all 3? Or just 2 since I am going to 2amps instead of direct to components? Don't the filter controls on the amp basically act as an eq?

Ummm... hmmm....

Well, you can use the front & rear (or high & mid) pairs of outputs from the 880 to your 4-channel amp, and the low or sub outputs to your 500/1.

The amps have built-in crossovers, which filter out frequencies too low for your mids or tweets, and too high for your subs, but your headunit has these built in as well. It will filter the signal before it gets to the RCAs.

The 880 also has a built-in EQ which will adjust the sound through all sets of preouts. Don't confuse an EQ with a crossover.

And it won't happen automatically, you'll need to manually set the crossover points on the headunit.
