yes, but you would have to be pretty stupid to send a badly clipped 20 watt signal to a 35watt speaker for long enough to kill it... lol

 
I wonder why the HU said 50 x 4? This caught my attention because i have only seen 22w at the most.

My brand new DUAL blew up mid song.... So i never got to hear the end.

How is the durability on JVC HU's?
