How would this setup work?

Ok I plan on buying a 15" kicker l7. Not sure on dual 4 or 2. Im wondering how this amp would work with that sub because I have the chance to get it real cheap. Its a Rockford t8002. I think the birth sheet says 1136watts if I rember right. First ? is this amp 1ohm stable? If so I would want to get a 2ohm kicker and wire to 1ohm right? Would this amp be enough to push this speaker? Since this is a two channel amp would this all work out? Sorry if this doesnt make since been awhile since I have been in the audio game and I fogot almost everything I used to know. Yea that would work...the amp can go down to 1 ohm...or 2 so you will be strait either way...id say go for it.

the rockford t8002 is 4ohm stable bridged. 800 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS

if your truly set on that amp and sub combo, you would want the dual 2-ohm model and wire it in "series" to get a 4-ohm load as shown here: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161

The link you sent is to the regular punch amp which is only 2ohm stable according to rockfords site. The power line of amps is 1ohm stable. How does this effect what you just said lol

which does 800wrms @ 2ohms bridged. you would want the DUAL 4-ohm kicker. it recommends to be powered with a single DVC 4-ohm sub as well.

Yeah turns out my buddys amp has a blown voice coil and I dont wana deal with sending it out and getting it fixed. So as of now im going pick up a hifonics bx1605
