how will this sub do with my amp.

Im on a serious budget and i always have liked the sound of one sub over 2. I am running a boston accoustics gt-24 and dual 2 ohm stable. How do you think this sub will hit with my ported box i think its 2.3 or 2.4. would i have to turn my gain way down or what would i actually have to do on my amp to make this hit perfect without blowing the sub!
