the sl5500d wont blow my sub will it,can it be tuned to around 1000 rms instead of 2100 rms at 4 ohms

The model sub you posted is the dual 4. Get the single 4ohm. That amp will never put out that power, Its highly overrated!! Put it in a ported box and youll be set!

r u sure about the ported box,i looked on mtx's website and it was suggesting a vented sealed box,and whats the deal with the capacitor,doesnt it help take some power away from ur alternator and battery or am i way off
