Hey, I have a pioneer screen. avhp4000dvd. It has front and rear pre amp out puts, but no sub. I purchased some really high quality monster cable rca's 4 channel and another 1 foot of monster rca. How I was planning to run it is front/rear to my 4 channel and rca output on the 4 channel to input on the mono block to my sub.

-I just found out my rear channel rca output on my deck can be turned into a sub output. I just have to select the function on the screen. I would like to have the best sound possible and be able to control my bass because I dont have a bass knob. Should I run a y-adapter for front/rear to my 4-channel and then my rears to my sub? Or should I stick with the original way I was planning on wiring it? I was the most crisp and clear sound possible.

-Also my sub amp is an infinity 1600a with a bass knob output (phone jack) Do you think a kicker bass knob will work with it?

Thanks a lot guys!

Well if you stick with the original method you won't be able to control your sub independently

If you go with your second option you won't have front/back fade-ability

I would go with the first option, controlling the sub is more important
