How to wire ina Re-Q5 to a ford radio

Hello doing some work on a guys truck in my little free time. Its a 2001 or so Ford Expidition with the factory cd changer in the console and sub in the side panel. Where is the best place to tie into the factory wiring. Behind the radio or back by the sub?
