How to wire dual 1ohm sub to 2ohm amp?

I tried to find a picture of the way to wire a dual 1ohm sub to my JBL bp12001.1 amp. The specs on the amp say "1200 watts rms @ 2 ohms"

For some reason, I cannot see the pics on this site. And every site I have gone to with diagrams. Something is wrong with my computer. anyway,

someone told me to wire it "series" which, from what I remember, is running the positive wire from the amp, to the positive terminal of one of the coils on the sub. Then run a wire from the negative terminal of that coil, to the positive terminal of the other. And run a wire from the negative of that coil to the negative terminal on the amp.

Is this correct?

take the + from one coil and the - from the other coil and go to the amp with it (+ and - respectively) then, connect the + and - not being used together to get a 2 ohm load into the amp.

So yes, you were correct. This is the same thing Just probably how most people see it, so say you have VC 1 and VC 2 (1 is one voice coil, 2 is the other)

Amp + => VC1 +

VC1 - => VC2 +

Amp - => VC2 -

this proves my theory. The diagram I found was definitely incorrect. I remember from years ago (high school) when I wired my stereo in "series." I remembered it in a "Circle" if that makes sense.

thank you for the help. Just waiting on my enclosure. the 12" Fi Q will be in a 1.3 cube sealed that was custom made for it. I can't wait.

I just finished installing the fronts, boston pro 60's components in the doors. They are powered by a kicker zx350 amp. It sounds great, even without the sub. very loud, very clear.
