hey everyone, i have 4 12" kicker cvr's they are all 4-ohm dual voice coil, i want to get the most power out of them should i run them in parallel or in series? i have a JL audio 500/1 amp. i mainly listen to hard bass hitting songs, i really feel i can get more out of these speakers. what do you guys think? email me some wiring diagrams that you think will work.. THANKS!!

wire each sub in series to 8ohm, wire all the subs in parrallel to end up with 2ohm final. Those jl slash amps do 500 from 1.5ohm to 4ohm i believe. On a side note, i'd look into something that puts out considerably more power, they are 400w RMS, you could run your JL 500 to just one of them if you really wanted to. look into something that does 1600 around 2ohms, kicker zx1500.1 would be perfect

I wouldn't wire the JL amp down to .5 ohms. 1.5 ohms is the lowest you can go. The JL makes the same power regardless of the load. For now I would wire all four subs into a 2 ohm load. Then later if you get another 500/1 wire two subs per amp into a 4 ohm load.
