How to wire 3 JL 12w3v2's?

What amp?

For a mono amp, your options are:

Subs in series (8 ohms per subs), parallel to amp: 2.6 ohm load

Subs in series (8 ohms per sub), series to amp: 24 ohm load

Subs in parallel (2 ohms per sub), parallel to amp: .6 ohm load

Subs in parallel (2 ohms per sub), series to amp: 6 ohm load

Go with the first setup I listed

You wire the subs in series for an 8 ohm load per sub, then wire them parallel to the amp for a 2.66 final ohm load. Remember:

Parallel wiring = impedance of coil / number of coils

Series wiring = impedance of coil X number of coils

So the for subs in series you get: 4 (ohms per coil) X 2 (# of coils) = 8

Then parallel to the amp you get: 8 (ohms per sub) / 3 (# of subs) = 2.66

Hope that helps

ahh.... so true. I used my words incorrectly. Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
