How to set my gain for a 2 channel amp?

Hi guys so I set my gain using my multimeter for my sub using the normal equation.

Now I want to do my 2 channel amp which is set up with 2 component speakers, does the equation change as there are 2 speakers? Each channel is 100rms at 4ohms so do I still just do the square rt of 100x4? Or do I have to do something extra as it is 2 speakers?

each channel has its own gain knob? you need to set them equally if theres two gain knobs yes but the square root equation isnt really that accurate in my opinion, mostly because digital multimeters are highly inaccurate with ac voltage unless theyre true rms and a higher end brand. on top of that you just dont know at what voltage the amplifier is actually clipping, manufacturers can rate amplifiers high or low. what amp is it?

the best way ive found is to use an oscilloscope and a 0db tone, they cost about $70 but its worthwhile investment to keep yourself from blowing your speakers
