i have no idea what slopes even are honestly, on my hu I have one for my front, back, sub, and tweeter, I set the front at "fc: 120 slope:-6

Backs: fc 120 slope -6. Sub at 80 fc and -18 slope

Tweeters at fc: 6.3k and this has a volume option, I can't really hear any noticeable differences and need guided

HU: Kenwood KDCx998

Fronts: Polk MM6501 Components (tweets used)

Backs: Alpine SPR 60C (tweets used)

Speaker Amp: B2 Quarto

Sub Amp: JBL GTO 1400.1 (bought from BOOMSDAY)

Subs: 2 Type R 12's d2

box tuned to 33 hz, subs up port back (designed by CSCstang)

Big 3: KNU

Stock tweets in back pillars running of HU

I guess your using the Polk MM6501 Components (40-25kHz ) and Alpine SPR 60C (65Hz - 29kHz) and 2 Type R 12's d2?

If you are using the passive crossovers, you should probably cross them at 50hz -12db and 75hz-12db. Or even higher. say 60hz-12db and 85hz-12db

I bet you will attempt to play the subs loud most of the time, and would be cranking up the volume on the mids. that would save them or at least help. the subs could be crossed at 50hz -12db or higher depends on your taste. best bet is to play with it and get it to blend.

Slopes in general are how quickly the unwanted frequencies are filtered out. The steeper the slope, the less of the unwanted frequencies there are past the crossover point.

-12, or -18dB or whatever refer to how far down the intensity is per octave. So a -12dB slope LPF @ 80hz will be -12dB down at 80hz and -24dB down at 160hz.
