How to properly run wires through stuff??

Ok well i have a sub in my accord and its just in a plain sealed box but i kinda got creative on the wiring.

im about 99% sure its a bad way to wire but i wasnt sure what else to do.

What i have it a threaded piece of metal (stainless steel i think??) throught the box almost like a bolt with washers and nuts on both sides that secure the wires to them.

Should i just drill a hole and run the wires straight through? if so how would i seal it??

i probally wont bother changing it till i move the sub to my new mustang but i would like to know a better method.

theres no problem with running a bolt or whatever through for your connections

Or just drill a big enough hole for the wires to run through and seal it from the inside with a sealant

ERR or just buy a speaker terminal from radioshack and do it right.

Speaker terminals **** because they become an extreme weak spot in the box...Just my opinion

ditto. I'd rather just drill a hole and run the wire through unless you plan on disconnecting it a lot.

??? what exactly are you running in a sealed box in a accord that you should be worried about a 2-3 inch hard plastic piece that is siliconed and screwed into the wood be a problem....

Dude, the speaker terminals are ROCK SOLID if you can cut a semi straight line and know how to use some liquid nail and sealant. Not even close to a weak spot.

Go ahead and use them then. Like I said it was just my opinion. If you think they are so good then why not make your whole box out of plastic smart guy
