How to not take up the entire trunk with a sub?

no what you have is what ID recommends. do you have the user manual, ID decided to not upload the t/s specs to their new website.
Nope, this box was probably built about 2 years ago, in fact, I think I have it saved in my pm's somewhere.

This is what it was I believe:

Size: 3

Ported or Sealed: Ported

Double Baffle? No

Front or Top? Front

If Ported, Tuning Frequency: 30

Subs: (Size, Quantity and Brand/ Model) (2) IDQ V3D4

Displacement: 0.25

Box Dimensions

External Width 39.00

External Depth 16.50

External Height 17.00

Slot Port Dimensions

Port Width 3.50

Port Length 46.25

Port Height 15.50

Port Area 54.25 .

Port Piece Length 1 11.50 X 15.50

Port Piece Length 2 28.00 X 15.50

Top/ Bottom 39.00 X 16.50

Front 34.75 X 15.50

Double Baffle Piece X

Back 39.00 X 15.50

Side 1 - (if Ported, Port Side) 15.75 X 15.50

Side 2 15.00 X 15.50

I found some t/s in winisd already. did you measure your trunk to see what fits? it would be much easier to draw it up then try to explain it.
These are the dimensions if you literally dropped the box straight down and then slid it all the way back it would fit.

H - 13"

L - 38"

W - 19"

Looking back, if my box was re-arranged a bit, I think it would fit...?

H - 17"

L - 39"

W - 16.5"

this is how you do it, unfortunately the height of your car doesn't allow that. would need 15'' high.

Is this a bandpass or still ported?

Smaller subs, sealed boxes, run a single, etc. You have multiple options.
I'm thinking 10's would be best? How much smaller would/could the box be?

it's isobaric, it uses the force of both subs to shrink the size of the enclosure. it's an old school SQ design.
How does it sound? Is that built specifically for my subs though? That's my whole issue with all these boxes. The one I have now is just a generic box and the one that I have built(but is too big) is ideal. Is the one you made in line with specs provided by ID?
