how to make my setup sound better?

First off i have a memphis street edge 10 in 1.5 cu ft ported.

A Rockford old school amp that puts out about 200 rms. Only settings on it are gain.

And i have a panasonic HU.

The setup sounds nice and clear and gets loud enough for me on rap songs, But i listen to mainly greenday and or korn etc and it just does not pick up the bass in those songs.

Do i need to adjust something or add a comp set and amp?

Go with a sealed box with a 10 or 12 inch sub like image dynamics sub or polk sr sub.

i really want to down size my box first this one i have is just way bigger than what i want in a single cab truck. Then id love to step up to a double din and a small 2 channel and front comp set and eliminate my rears.

i would suggest just getting a very nice 4 channel amp and build a nice box for the 10 and a nice set of comps.

well i ordered that box anyway it was only 26 bucks. theres gotta be a sub that will sound ok in there. then like you said a comp amp and some comps should be a nice daily setup thats not too wild. im not looking to shake windows just hear some lows and mids.

just wondering about the rockford amp. Is there no crossover, or is it internal. I remember some old school amps had internal xovers that were adjustable. If yours does you may be able to change it up to a slightly higher point.

Your low pass is set at 80, so that shouldn't be a problem. Some of the bigger amps of the same model can be as low as 50 which may take away some of the higher sub frequencies
